The SCO summit promotes trade among multiple countries

The 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit will be held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1. During the summit, President Xi Jinping will also host a welcoming banquet and bilateral events for participating leaders.

The 2025 SCO Summit will be the fifth time that China hosts the SCO Summit and will also be the largest-scale summit since the establishment of the SCO. At that time, President Xi Jinping will gather with more than 20 foreign leaders and 10 heads of international organizations along the Haihe River to summarize the successful experiences of the SCO, outline the development blueprint of the SCO, build consensus on cooperation within the “SCO family,” and drive the organization towards the goal of building a closer community of shared future.

It will announce China’s new initiatives and actions in support of the high-quality development and all-around cooperation of the SCO, as well as propose new approaches and paths for the SCO to constructively uphold the post-World War II international order and improve the global governance system. President Xi Jinping will jointly sign and issue the “Tianjin Declaration” with other member leaders, approve the “10-Year Development Strategy of the SCO,” release statements on the victory of the world anti-fascist war and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, and adopt a series of outcome documents on strengthening security, economic, and cultural cooperation, which will serve as guidelines for the future development of the SCO.
